I don't know that there has been a more maligned brand than Beats. Audiophiles tend to trash them, and yet Beats are wildly popular. What are your Beats headphones experiences?

I'll start: I bought powerbeats2 about a year ago, had them for a couple of months and the volume rocker broke. The sound quality was fine, the tech was reasonably cool, and I love the bluetooth capabilities.

I'm wondering if my results are typical and whether or not others have found Beats worth the steep price. I have some QC15s and I'm looking for an excuse to replace them.

Also have powerbeats2 and still use them from time to time but I never remember to charge them or bring a micro USB cable with me so they end up collecting dust. Really wish someone would make some wireless headphones with a lightning port (but not the airpods?)

As an audiophile, Beats are trash. Why? Overpriced for the poor sound quality. The bass is over powering and it's a muddled bass, which just sounds bad. If they fixed the bass and dropped the price by about $100-$150, they might be worth looking in to. Bose is also not very good.

What's your recommendation then?

That depends on what device your using, what your price point is, what kind of music you listen to, whether or not you want more bass in your sound, and whether you want a cold analytical straight forward sound or a warmer sound that's more well rounded.

I had great experiences with beat products especially the newer models
They sound even more clear then the last models and the bass is more redefined

I use the PowerBeats 2 with my Apple Watch while I run. So I don't care all that much about sound quality. For quality I have my Bose but they serve different purposes. Not sure what I'd do if I could only choose one pair. And actually when I travel I usually just use my Apple EarPods with my iPhone 6s?

Ok, then I just need your budget, and I'll get you some recommends in a couple hours when I'm on lunch.

if you can recommend me some headphones as well i'd really appreciate it. I mainly have my music on iPhone and macbook (iTunes) and i listen to mainly pop music, some country, and r&b. I want to find something less than $400.00 and something not to bulky if possible.

They're great...if all you want to hear is bass and upper registers bathed heavily in bass and cotton batting.

And they break like crazy - we got so many replacement inquiries at the store.

Thanks for taking your time to make that list. My kid will probably want a new set in a while when her Beats die, but I personally am enjoying my brand new Sennheiser Momentums :)

Posted with one of my awesome thingies. I like both ios and android. And windows too

Beats are way too bass heavy. It's a trendy thing. You can get good quality for a lot less but you won't be as "cool".
