There has to be a catch or a lot of Canadians (like myself) will be signing up for t-mobile :D

Edit: just read it's only unlimited data for 2G only oh well...

2G data.....sweet.

Id seriously rather not have data that suffer with 2G. I doubt too many people even remember 2G and how TERRIBLY slow that really is in real life.

But it's free! And you don't have to get and pay for a local SIM when traveling. 2G should be fine for basics like checking email on vacation.

I would be fine with 2g for emails and whatsapp. But coverage in the states suck.

That should be enough to keep navigation going on the phone I'd hope? I've been saying for a long time there is no reason our modern plans shouldn't cover all of North America. It's just a matter of greed that they don't.

But in Canada only Rogers still have a working 2G network...

That news was awesome but I'm bummed that it happened now that I don't live in metro Detroit. I was ALWAYS in Canada when I still lived in Michigan. That would have been very handy, indeed.
