A little backstory. This was taken back in 2012. My dad and I went back to where he was born, Machu Picchu, and he wanted to climb Huayna Picchu, the mountain behind it. He used to do it all the time as a kid when his dad was given the rights to manage the first hotel there, as a token of appreciation from the President of Peru at the time. They were associates. He even played soccer with his friends at Machu Picchu back then. Anyways, Huayna Picchu isn't a very hard climb, just the altitude gets some people. Well not really a climb, but a very steep hike at times. It was a rainy day, so we literally were going through the clouds to get to the top. This is shot of some of the ruins at Huayna Picchu, nearly at the top. He was 83 at the time and he wants to climb again at 90. I have no doubt he can do it.
