Should I buy the 2016 or 2017 MacBook Pro?

So I'm in about of a pickle and looking for advise please.

I had the MacBook 12 inch awhile back and fell in love with the style and keyboard. Unfortunately the power wasn't there so I upgraded to quite a beefy 2015 MacBook Pro (i7, 16gb 512gb) and I think I've decided to go with a refresher.

I can get a 2016 model or 2017 but is the £300 worth the jump between the two?

Any recommendations guys?

Many Thanks.

What are the main differences between the two apart from Kaby lake? I understand that Skylake was more built around power efficiency than speed?

What I've heard is that they upgraded the keyboard and the battery on the 2017 models. I would go with the newer ones just to be on the safe side.

Not sure if you are talking 13" or 15", I have had the 15" of both the differences are:

2.6/2.7 GHz CPU v. 2.8/2.9 GHz
graphics cards are close to the same even though the model numbers have been bumped for the Radeon Pro (450/455 vs. 555/560)

I thought I read somewhere the SSDs are faster in the 2017 but I can't find it.

the low end was 1866 MHz RAM, now all is 2133MHz
