ringtones to iphone adding way too much data into "others"

i just caught itunes adding about 800 mb worth of data when i add one ringtone to my iphone.

why?

I think it might be something else on your phone adding the other to the device.

Check the apps you have installed to see what space they are using, including the messages app and phone app. Messages and phone calls/voice mails can eat up "other" quick.

brand new phone/fresh restore. nothing on the phone. first thing i wanted to do its to add a ring tone and i noticed the extra 800mb
