Can somebody please tell me how to stop a deleted contact coming up if you put first letter of ex contact in new text message box?????

Where is the contact getting pulled from? iCloud? Gmail? Or locally synced with Outlook and ITunes?

If you’re talking about the scenario where a deleted contact's name/number appears when you start typing in an address field, there is nothing that you can do about that short of restoring your device as new. That’s an annoyance that has not yet been fixed/addressed.
