It would be easier if you took the photo in portrait mode rather than landscape. Do you have the actual photo, rather than this screenshot?

What I wanna know is after all these years why it’s a pain to still fit any photo we take as wallpaper without having to mess with it?

Any apps that can do it without needing a computer? I hardly use my Mac since I went to Apple Music and iCloud backup I have no use for iTunes

Because not all images have the correct resolution size or aspect ratio. So some will be cropped. Portrait style will fit better than landscape. You can resize images with an app called Image Size. But in many cases it will crop part of the image off. There's no way around that, even on a computer.
