Nano sync with iWatch?

I was wondering if I can sync my Nano (6th Gen) with my iWatch. I run and so running with my phone is a pain in the ****. I like my Nano because its small and I can either hold it in my hand or clip it to my shorts.
I was using the Nike+ the shoe transmitter and the other piece attached to the nano and it would work great. I wanted to use my iWatch to either control my music or track my run without buying a big holster for my phone.

No...the watch won't connect to a Nano. You can store a limited number of songs directly on the watch if you like...
