I don't think we have any Verizon employees on this forum that post often enough to really help you...you'd probably be best off calling your local store and asking honestly.

My opinion: If you have a specific need for one, call your nearest Verizon store and ask them.
90% of verizon stores have no extra Nano Sims in stock, only the ones supplied in the iPhones that were shipped to them. I wanted a second nano-sim so I could use my iphone for both my work and home lines by just swapping the sims out (i use a galaxy nexus with a sim adapter as my second phone and I like the availability to switch between the two). I ended up having to call a special branch of verizon's tech support to get a new nano-sim shipped to me, but it was free so meh

If you want to do line switching, you don't need a new SIM. The SIM can be re-programmed to the new number after a day (after midnight).
