My Ipad Air now shows "not charging" when I connect charger

Have tried charger on my iPhone and charger works OK.
Tried a re set and problem persists. Any sugestions

Welcome to iMore! If you've tried swapping chargers and resetting and your iPad still isn't charging it's probably the battery. Apple offers a battery replacement program. For iPad, replacement cost is $99 (in the US) plus shipping. More info in the link.

Also, make sure that the "charger" you are using is outputting sufficient power to charge your iPad which has different requirements than your iPhone.

Another thing you can try is just leaving it on the charger for several hours and then check it. My sons iPhone died and would not show it was charging at first, but after several hours it finally showed it was charging. It has not been an issue with his phone since.
