My MacBook is not detecting the Dell wireless keyboard and mouse. The USB receiver is plugged into the monitor which also has a docking station. The display port cable is connected to the monitor and the MacBook. Even the mouse and keyboard are not Bluetooth, instructions said to navigate to BT settings on the MacBook but the keyboard and mouse are not being detected. How do I troubleshoot this?

Can you try check if your computer sees the receiver?

  1. To do so, first Option-click onto the  menu and select System Information...

  2. Choose USB in the left sidebar.

  3. Look if the receiver appears in the device tree.
Tip: You can plug/unplug the receiver, then press Command+R to refresh the window to see what changed.
