Is MacBook Air 2018-2019 worth upgrading RAM and SSD or better just go with the PRO?

In the refurbished store in HK we have MacBook Air 2018 1.6ghz upgraded to 16 Ram and 258 SSD and Pro of 2017 with 3.1ghz and 8ram with 258 SSD. Same price. I value the portability and design of air for marketing job but I may need more power for multitasking and maybe some light photo and video editing. Which one is the better option in this case? Or is it just enough going with Air 2018 with 8 Ram for described performance requirements? Hope that my computer will last for long and trying to make a considerable choice for the future use. Many thanks!

In the circumstances, I personally would choose the MacBook Air. It is newer for a start and I find I can accomplish more on the Mac OS than on the iOS of the iPads. Also, MacBooks tend to last a lot longer than iPads in my experience.

I would take the MBA in this regard. I use an MBA at work and love it.

I’d have to agree & say the MBA. I use my Air a lot more than the Pro because of portability. Plus the one you’re looking at is newer & is still a pretty powerful machine.
