When it comes to virus control, how does galaxy tab compare to ipad. Sometimes i download movies or some other torrents online on my macbook and don't have issues. Will I have more issues on galaxy tab?

The threat level, at least in my opinion, is the same, regardless of the device.

Anytime you download movies, games, applications, etc., from locations other than supported software stores (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store), you increase the risk of having problems—no matter what device you’re using.
