All of that and your conclusion still mirrors ours. It’s the parent’s fault. I know everyone is different and every raises their kids differently. With that being said, if my kids were 6 in this day and age, I can straight up tell you they would NOT be using my expensive iPad or iPhone without me being right there next to them. Period.

If I’m not there, they would NOT be using “my” iPhone and iPad. They would have a ton of toys to play with or they’d be plopped in front of the TV watching Barney or some other kiddie show.
