Correction. Hurricane Milton is already a Cat 5 hurricane, but should weaken to a Cat 3 when it makes landfall sometime Wednesday evening. We’re expecting Cat 2 status here in Orlando.

Since I posted, it was revised a couple of times. They’re no longer even trying to predict the strength of the hurricane 😕

We all made through both storm unscathed here in Ocala and are very fortunate. A lot of our fellow Floridians and folks up in Georgia and the Carolinas were not so lucky as we where.

My community only had some minor tree limbs down and I had a leak in my kitchen window and a couple of loose shingles on my roof which the local handyman took care up.

I hope for a quick speedy recovery for all who were in the path of these storms, I know it will take years for some to recover, for folks like myself, it’s part of living here in the sunshine state and I feel blessed that I live in an area who has faired extremely well through many of the storms that have hit our state.

I’m an hour southeast of you and we didn’t suffer any damages or flooding either nor did we lose power. Thank GOD! There were some tree limbs down in the neighborhood, but that’s about it.

This earth was here before we were, and it will continue to refresh itself whether certain areas are now full of buildings and people or not.
