How can I set my iPhone camera on the photo setting only?

is there a way to lock my camera photo setting in place so it don't move to video or other settings? every time i try to take a picture it moves to video or square and so forth. I want to set it on photo only. for now

No. You cannot do that. Try to avoid swiping the screen between the various functions.

Or try a third party camera app that doesn't have those other functions.
