Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out how to get better battery life on my Series 5. I have mixed and matched various settings and have found the following for my usage:
With all the settings turned on, overnight my watch goes from 100% to ~80-85%, sometimes into the 70% range after 8-9 hours. Sometimes I leave the watch on for longer and after 12 hours it’s in the 60% range. My Series 2 would never drain like this even before I gave it to my dad.
With some settings turned off (AOD, background app refresh, less notifications) overnight my Watch goes from 100% to 90% in 8-9 hours, which is better but not as good as my previous Series 2. I have not tried turning off noise and cellular yet, nor turning off the compass.
My goal is to have my Watch drain at most 5% overnight.
During the day, with all the settings enabled the Series 5 goes 10 hours sometimes before it’s in the 40% range. Again my Series 2 never did this. With the settings turned off it’s better and after that period is at 70%. Still, not as good as the Series 2 it replaced.
If I have to turn off the majority if not all of the features that make the Series 5 what it is supposed to be used as, I am ok with it. I will just tell anyone who asks me that the reason I use the Watch almost as a regular Watch is to get the maximum battery life possible. My Tissot Watch doesn’t have this battery life problem obviously!
In conclusion, if anyone has any advice to help make battery life better, I would greatly appreciate it!
