How can I delete an OVERDUE reminder?

I have an item listed as "overdue" I red letters on my reminder list. The text is really small and brownish in color. There is no way to swipe or delete this. I no longer do this particular job. It keeps a permanent "1" visible beside the app. How can I get rid of it?

Have yo tried restarting your device, if not try it and if it is still there then you need to perform a Hard Reset.

Below your reminder list you should see "Show Completed " in blue. Tap that twice and it should go away
