I read on MacRumors a couple of weeks ago that there will be a Thanksgiving Day Activity on Thanksgiving day. According to the article on MacRumors, "To earn the turkey-themed badge and sticker, *Apple Watch* wearers must clock up a 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) walk, run, or wheelchair workout."

Do you think you'll be able to earn this badge? Personally speaking, I'm not sure I'll be able to get this done, but I plan to try. However, the activity icon has not yet shown up on my watch, so time will tell.

If you want to read the article, click on MacRumors in the first paragraph.

Wondering if this can be achieved with an elliptical or treadmill workout. And if it has to be consecutive

I’ll try and complete it!

Glad to hear the Thanksgiving Day Challenge is back this year after nothing from Apple last year. This will be a nice reward for the end of my day since I traditionally do a run anyway.

It’s unusual that it showed up on the phone without ever sending a notification to the watch as it normally does.

Elliptical did not work... won’t be completing this challenge this year. Elliptical workouts count my steps/miles, so I’m wondering if I called in an indoor run or walk if it would have worked.

Happy Thanksgiving all

It does say any walk, run, or wheelchair workout, so if the elliptical workout doesn’t fall under those then it wouldn’t count. Sometimes these special holiday ones take a while to register, which is another possibility.
