Eco system change

I was not sure where to post this so I figured I would here. So my question is based on that I have a MacBook 2007( can't use iCloud or upgrade anymore), iPad 2 and a 4s and it's time for a new laptop and my son needing to use my upgrade. So first I will most likey not be buying another MacBook as just too pricey with colleges cost for kids and will most likely buy a regular laptop.

So will end up slowly change echo system base, so then leads me to give my 4s to my son and use the upgrade but if I change base echo system do I still stay with a 5 or look in another direction.

I hated when I had an android with a MacBook so will it be the same in reverse.

So is it a 5 question yes, but it is based on iOS eco system changing

Go with the iPhone 5. You can still access iCloud and use iTunes via a Windows PC.
