All these years owning and using an iPhone I’ve never switched from the regular font to bold. Tried it out finally and I don’t know, it looks ok I guess. Doesn’t look bad. Just wondering if anyone else even uses this feature.

After many years using an iPhone I tried it a few months ago. Like you, I thought it was ok. I switched back to the regular font later that day.

I use it all the time, when I get some new glasses maybe I’ll turn it off and save it for a backstop, for when I need the pair after that (and don’t get them for the longest time !)
Also, I find the “Reader View” feature on sites like The Verge very helpful as the site has a very slender spidery font without it.

I hadn’t tried it in a while. It wasn’t bad or anything, but I simply prefer the native font over it. I may give it another shot at some point.

I’ve tried bold text a few times, I don’t know, something about it just seems like it’s too bold or something. I wish I could I change the font too since I can’t make the text any smaller. Oh well.

Here's the difference in iMessage. I can read the bold text much better.
