Check balance on iPad with a prepaid SIM

Is there a way to check the balance on the iPad itself rather than taking out the SIM

Balance, as in weight distribution or monetary balance? If the latter, s there not an "app for that" purpose? Who's your wireless carrier? Check your settings.
