Charger getting hot

Why does my charger get so hot when I charge my iphone 7? It's a original charger that is from the box.

It is getting "really warm" or is it getting so hot that you can't touch it? There's a lot of current going through those little cubes so it's not uncommon for them to heat up. Do you have any other chargers you can try for comparison?

Nope it's gets really hot sometimes, and no it's my first Apple device so I do not have extra chargers
