Can Airport Express be used to extend a network shared from Mac Mini?

I have my WAN ethernet cable connected into my Mac Mini
Mac Mini is sharing this internet connection wirelessly over WiFi
I want to use Air Port Express to extend the reach of the wireless network
No; I cannot connect the WAN cable directly into the Airport Express
