hello,

Can we use plex as server on apple tv ? If not, what other apps can be the alternative ? infuse ?

TV app is not yet available at my country, I tried to change my ATV region to USA and restart, but still cannot find this app. Must I create new appleid based on USA just to download this app ?

According to Apple, “The TV app is available in the United States only, so you need to sign in to iTunes with an Apple ID account based in the United States.” Note the words ‘based in the United States’. Changing the region is not enough.

I can verify that what @Just_Me_D says is correct.
I have an America based Apple ID and whenever I select that one the TV app appears on my TV.

Also, Plex is available as download on the AppStore on the TV.
I have used it a few times to stream movies and TV shows from my computer to my TV.

I created the US appleid account, but it seems like, the tvapp will appear automatically and can't be downloaded, and once we switch back to our origin appleid, the tv app will disappear as well.

Too bad, it's a nice polish app which I cannot enjoy

yes, i figure out that the plex app on appletv only for media streamer, not as a server. We still need computer / mac or NAS as a server .....

Is there any way for me to remote / team view or screenshare appletv from my MacBook ?

(sometimes I prefer to install or configure some stuff with my macbook screen, so I can just relax and enjoy it on my tv screen)

That’s not possible as far as I know.
