Apple owes state of Maine over $500,000 in taxes, a court rules

A court in Maine has ruled that Apple should have paid state taxes on the full price of iPhones sold as discounted with wireless plans from May 2010 through April 2013.

Weird, I didn’t know Apple sold carrier plans. The discount seems fair because of the fantastic mark up attached to buying a phone on the strap !

I would think that they should only owe tax on the selling price. But what do I know?
