Apple Mail bug causing data loss in macOS Catalina

All I know is this. macOS Catalina works flawlessly on my 2017 MacBook Pro, but is “periodically” glitchy on my work-issued MacBook Air. The biggest issue is the inability to wake the MacBook Air from sleep mode.
