If its 2 days old, exchange it. Do you really want Apple taking your week old phone apart to doing a screen replacement? I wouldn’t.

My x screen went stupid. They changed the screen and it had the line like that as soon as they brought it out. Turns out it’s a board failure causing the green line on the right side.

Well they said she can’t have it replaced with a new one because she didn’t buy it from the apple store, she got it from her carrier so they changed the screen for a brand new one, all good so far, let’s hope it’s not a board problem and it comes back!!

Wow! I would think that should be covered in the warranty by Apple. It was only a few days old, right? It was obviously a hardware manufacturer's defect.

Yep only a few days old yet because it wasn’t bought direct from apple they wouldn’t exchange it for another one. They’ve fixed it anyway and it’s working as it should so far

That may be at the discretion of the store. Another store may have offered a new phone. We see it all the time here.

It sounds like it was covered by warranty but Apple could not do an exchange since they didn't sell the phone. (Warranty and exchange are two different things.) I'd suspect though that the original carrier who sold the phone may have been able to.
