A second Apple ID to add cellular?

I’m switching back to VZW and hubs says are asking for a secondary Apple ID to connect! Anybody ever heard of such a thing! This is my second watch!

That doesn’t make sense to me. Why is Verizon asking for an Apple ID? My Watch is a cellular model and I have Verizon but I’ve not provided or been asked to provide that type of information.

Yeah….he seems to have added the watch first and they asked. He did my phone and hadn’t done my watch.

I think hubs is short for husband.
