12 Mini battery life - Here is my first full day experience.

I know others have been concerned about the battery life for the mini.

So here’s my first full day with the mini.

Off the charger at 9:00am and had a fairly light day since I was at work.

I know my phone is still indexing and settling in after my restore from iCloud so I can’t judge it properly just yet.

How are the rest of the mini owners faring?

I’m finding it fine. Was off the charger at 9am yesterday, a pretty heavy day on the phone, bed at 2am and back on charge with still 20% battery remaining...

I’m not only happy with the battery life on the Mini, but the speed isn’t too shabby either.

Did a quick Geekbench test on day 1 and I was very impressed...

The tech reviewers scared me with all the videos warning mini 12 purchasers about battery life. I’m not a heavy user at all and I have to say the battery is enough for my use. I feel like you have to be really into your phone to kill the battery. I’m incredibly relieved.

It has a much smaller battery then the other devices so you need to expect bad battery life. With so many charging options I don't care I have chargers everywhere I carry a portable when I am away from my car.

I picked up a 12 mini today at a T-Mobile store and the sales clerk warned me that almost everyone has returned the 12 mini due to the battery life. I said you need to expect shorter shorter battery life on a smaller phone but he said no that’s not true I said yes it is true and that you must be a moron if you don’t understand that.

Mini user here with an average use profile. Phone use starts around 7am.
Battery is between 20 and 45% at night when I put it on the charger around midnight.
The mini's battery is perfectly fine.

Of course the battery of an 11/12 lasts longer. But not long enough to get me through 2 full days! Both the 11 and the 12 I had to recharge in the afternoon of day 2, at the latest, with the same use profile as on the mini. So eventually I had to charge these bigger battery phones every night anyway.

Only if you are a heavy gamer and/or watch videos for several hours a day, you might get in trouble. Or, if your awake days are much longer than 17 hours.

First day medium use and I got a full day with ease. Great little device and the otterbox defender case makes it that much better to handle.
