iTunes Starts Up By Itself

This is a new issue for me since Yosemite. I have a 2014 13" MBA running Yosemite. I use a Bose speaker, connected by Bluetooth. In the morning, I listen to a radio station on-line, using the Bluetooth speaker. When I turn off the speaker, iTunes launches and begins playing whatever podcast is the newest. Additionally, but not as bothersome, if I pause the podcast, it resumes playing after a period of time.

Is there a way to prevent iTunes from launching itself? When it happens, iTunes isn't even open. Thanks!
