Photos for Mac not showing videos when importing

Has anyone else run into this issue? I am attempting to import videos from either an SD card, or directly via my JVC video camera. Only photos show up, and I am not sure all are showing. Videos no longer show up at all since the High Sierra update, and I have no idea why. Any ideas?

My DSLR camera that can also take videos is still in NC or I’d test it for you. Other than that, I don’t have a SD card in which I can put videos on it and then import them to my MacBook. Hopefully, those that do will reply with their findings soon.
