Pardon if the answer to this is out there already but:

If I purchased the iPad and I already use the Kindle app for my iphone, and "nearly all" iphone apps are going to be compatible with iPad right out of the box- will I be able to have the best of both worlds and read my Kindle books on iPad??

Or is there a screen-sizing issue to contend with? Apple's e-reader solution may well wind up being better but I have a decent library of Kindle books already.

I think this is an interesting point.

Apple doesn't like Apps that "replicate a built in function" like a standalone web-broswer (i know you can use Safari in your own Apps though).

So how are they going to be with Amazon on this one, or any other eBook reader for the iPhone?

Will they stop selling it because it directly competes with their own service on their own platform? maybe.

But then I'll quite happily use the Kindle App on the iPad - at least until iBooks is available in my country.
