Have you tried actually letting your battery die and charging to 100%? This will recalibrate your battery indicator. I've had the last 1% of a charge last for over an hour while playing a movie on Netflix before. The battery was fine, the indicator was just providing bad information.

Hey, you can only do so much with a screenshot from a video :) Did you try it on the phone though? I don't see the banding or artifacts when using it on my iPhone 5.

What you are seeing is the wallpaper and icons through the semi-transparent control center UI.

Grabbed a screenshot from the lockscreen video on Apple's website. Removed the UI elements in Photoshop and upped the saturation to look better against iOS 6 icons. Enjoy!
