Ok thank you for the information. Unfortunately those are DSLR's as well, and the $500 price is usually just for the body. I'd have to buy lenses for it as well. Thanks for the help though!

No, she will be working that day. She does know I'm getting it for her so it won't be that big of a surprise, but I'll drop it off to her when I'm on my way home so she will have her new toy to play with at work.

I'm standing in line. Did it for the 5 and was pretty fun, also our store handed out cards that matched their inventory when we got there, so we were assured of getting one as long as we had the card. I've pretty much had a black smart phone since 2009 with my first one, the Palm Pre. Really thinking this year I'm going to go for the white. I'm not a fan of gold so that one is definitely out.

I wasn't planning on it, I'm pretty happy with my iPhone 5. But my girlfriends mom is up for an upgrade from the iPhone 4 and was about to upgrade to the 5. She has offered to let me have her upgrade if I give her my 5, so now I'm tempted. And I'll still have my upgrade next year for the 6...

I'm pretty sure the passcode can still be there, the fingerprint is just a way of quickly bypassing that. Or you could simply tap your thumb to the home button while you are passing the phone on to the passenger, from the videos I've seen it looks like it takes no more than a second to unlock...

Went on a little hike about an hour after I got my iPhone 5 yesterday.

I love my Otterbox Defender. A little bulky but I like knowing that my iPhone is safe!

Does anyone know how much data this is going to use? I have an unlimited text plan, but only a 2GB data plan. I don't want to go over my data cap just because I text with my girlfriend a lot.

This will be my first iPhone, so a JAMBOX would be the perfect accessory to compliment the perfect phone for music!
