Happened to me as well.

Placed my pre-order yesterday afternoon, and I will be waiting in line starting at 4am on Friday morning. :D

Well if you want to talk about internal hardware, the iPhone 3G S is running on a 600MHz processor and 256MB of DDR memory while the iPod Touch 2nd Generation uses a 412MHz processor and 128MB of DDR memory. Another difference would be battery life, with the new iPhone having an advantage.

I'm about to get my dad one of these for his iPhone 3G S in a few days, they seem very practical.

Yeah, there is too much bandwidth saturation in this country for anyone to be getting a consistent 3.6Mbps, even in the best circumstances. The new HSDPA 7.2Mbps upgrade will definitely relieve some of the congestion, but it's still not enough to compensate for the huge influx of incoming...

I think the 5th question in that FAQ list is hilarious: My kids and I are on a FamilyTalk plan. I'm not eligible for an upgrade for iPhone 3G S but one of my kids is upgrade ready. Can I swap lines and take his upgrade eligibility on the 19th? Will I need to start a new two-year service...
