In a few years I have gathered quite a few Junk emails, that went straight into my Junk folder.

But now I'm wondering what will happen if I empty this Junk folder... will all these marked Junk addresses re-appear on the 'OK'-list?

In regard to the thread question, yes, it is typically safe to delete ‘junk’ mail. Now as for your second question, I don’t know. I mean, it depends on the accuracy of your SPAM filter. Like ads, SPAM will always be a part of our digital lives.

Is there a way to have the Junk folder on iOS emptied automatically, like it can be configured on masOS??

I was under the impression that mail in the junk folder gets auto-deleted after 30 days. I don’t get a good deal of junk mail from my regular email accounts. I get a ton via my throwaway AOL account. I typically delete the junk mail from it once a day before I put my phone on the charger for the night.
