I supposedly just "unlocked" my j/b'd iPhone 3Gs with ultrasn0w. Short of finding someone's T-Mobile SIM card to replace my AT&T SIM with, is there any way to "test" and see if my iPhone is truly unlocked?

The process appeared to go smoothly, with no error messages.

I'd like to know before I walk into an overseas cellular providers shop and buy a SIM card account and then discover that my phone is not actually unlocked.

Thanks for any help.

Nah... Go buy that O2 SIM from BestBuy. It's $10 bucks and has that much credit on it. Plus it's handy to make int. calls.

Thanks, Jeff, I've have to wait until the weekend, since my local BestBuy is "out" of the O2 SIMs and I must travel to the next nearest one, which is about 25 miles north. They had one in stock and were kind enough to put it aside for me until Saturday! I did read some reviews about using the O2 SIM and it sounds pretty good. (Just wish I'd known about this a month ago, when I went to France.) Thanks again.
