Have to restore/How do I maintain 3.12?

My JBroken 3GS is stuck in safe mode. Reboot won't free it up and can't respring. Guess I need to restore. How do I restore and not lose my 3.12 (which is registered in Cydia?

One more note. iTunes is only giving me the choice to restore and update, not just restore.

I have the same concern. Is it possible to restore my 3GS 3.0 and keep it at firmware 3.0 level? Thanks in advance if you know.

I would also like someone to put a step by step thing on here for this...I'm jb'd with 3.1.2 and shsh saved on cydia...need re-jb to get back my 3g service that has dissapered

From what I understand, you have to use Saurik's server (but only if you saved your SHSH/ECID in Cydia).

If you clicked the "Make my life easier!" button in Cydia, all of those things are saved.

You direct iTunes to Saurik's server instead of Apple's, and then use the stock 3.1.2 firmware to restore.

jeffskent, I have the same issue. Trying to keep my firmware at that also. Anyone got ideas?
