Help Cydia Prompts Reboot After Installing App.

I have just unlocked and jailbroken my 3gs (3.1.2) with blackra!n.This worked fine, however when I started to dl apps from cydia, some worked, but when i tried to dl Backgrounder for 3.x and up, it installs then and then at the end of the scrolling text it asks me to "REBOOT" instead of "Return to Cydia". So when i click reboot, it locks up my phone and I have to restore and jail break it over again. Can anyone help with this?

What do you mean by lockup? Is it stuck at the USB connect to Itunes symbol?

It sounds like you have the newest bootrom making yours a tethered jailbreak. If so, you don't have to restore, just run blackra1n again and it will boot back to where you were.
