Some albums or songs will not synch to iPhone from iTunes.

I’ve had an issue where I will delete an album or song off my iPhone but when I try to add it back to my phone through iTunes, it will not synch. Any ideas what would cause this or how to fix it?
Let’s say I added a Black Sabbath album. A week later I accidentally deleted it from my iPhone. So I plug my phone in to my computer, launch iTunes, and try to add that same album and it will not synch to the iPhone.
