WiFi problem

Why does my WiFi say vzw when it usually says Verizon.

Could it be because it connects to Wi-Fi Calling? Basically, that uses your Wi-Fi network to route cellular traffic.

I'm not with Verizon, but my cellphone provider adds the mention "Wi-Fi" when it switches to Wi-Fi Calling.

1. It's not your "WiFi" that is displaying "VzW", that's your cellular network display.
2. It's just a different display of the network name coming from the cell tower. No difference.

Yep. Taking up less room because of the notches in phones these days.
