Putting tones on to my iPhone SE.

Hi and I hope someone can assist me please.

I am able to convert a sound, tone or what have you in .m4a and .m4r format but when I drag and drop on to the iPhone in iTunes it does not shop up in either my tones, music or even mu iPhone.

My pc is Dell Inspiron 3521.

My PC, iPhone and iTunes are all up to date.

The only thing I can think of is are you dragging it to the Tones folder(?) specifically?

I’ve tried dragging it to Tones (under device) Music (under device)
Music (main part)
Basically as many places as I can think relevant.

I’m at a loss.
