Is there a way to have the Gmail app notify me of new mail by playing a sound but not vibrating?

Is there a way to have the Gmail app notify me of new mail by playing a sound but not vibrating? I can't seem to find a way to turn off vibration.

If the Gmail app is listed in the device's notifications settings then all you should have to do is disable the toggle next to "Sounds".

It's been a while since I've used the official Gmail app, but it alerted me audibly to new email. Anyway, maybe others who still use it can verify that it does not audibly alert you. I can't understand why it wouldn't.

Sorry, I must not be explaining what I am after very clearly. I would like the Gmail app to make a sound when I get new email. Right now it makes a sound AND vibrates. I would like for it to only make a sound and not vibrate (unless of course I have the vibrate switch turned on).
