Whatsapp free download for iPhone 5

I recently bought an iPhone 5 but I am having trouble downloading whatsapp can someone assist with the step by step whatsapp download procedure.

Did you have it installed on a previous iphone? In that case you will not need to pay again, just go to the app store and look under 'updates' then 'purchased' and it should be there, when you see it press open and it should download to your new iphone5.
If you didn't previously have it then like the others have said you will have to pay for it. To find it in the app store you can do a search for 'whatsapp', it is the first thing that comes up, just click on the grey button that says ?0.69 (if you're in the UK) and when that turns green click 'buy app'. You will then be prompted for your apple id password, and that's it, you should have Whatsapp on your phone.

WhatsApp is the biggest selling iPhone app, yet it is permanently free for Android and BlackBerry. You should be asking Apple, why do you have to pay for something that is free elsewhere? Yes, it's only 69p here in the UK, but Apple must be selling thousands every week.

Whatsapp is a paid app. Sometimes developers offer their apps for free for a limited time. If you do not see it for free in iTunes, you will either have to buy it, or sit on your hands and wait for the next time it is offered for free. (Which could be a year from now.)
