Looking to upgrade my iPhone SE (battery drains quickly even after replacement!) for a IPhone 8. Xfinity mobile offers $250 back when porting line and new device. May trade in SE for $50.

Currently the 8 64GB is $599 through but they may not drop til promo over 9/29. lol

Just brainstorming my options, they still have the Samsung s9 at $599 so they may hold tight on pricing .

So what exactly is your question?

If I remember correctly, Apple offered a significant price drop for the 7 last year after they announced the XS, XS Max, and XR. So, if history repeats itself, I imagine they will reduce the price of the 8 and 8+.

The problem is that when the price drops, the 64 gig model becomes a 32 gig model. The good news is the 256 gig becomes 128, which would have been the perfect size to begin with.

I have a question, who controls the Apple prices? Is it apple or retailer/carrier?

Thinking of the iPhone 8 too but Xfinity Mobile has $250 prepaid card offer currently too . Thinking If carrier they will hold that $599 tag like they are doing on older Samsung’s.
