Issues with screen brightness

Since updating my iPhone to IOS 11 , Anytime I put my iPhone in my pocket and takes it back,the screen brightness moves up high on its own which I hv to reduce it every time. Please is somebody also experiencing the same problem? If yes, Is there a fix? Thanks.

Do you have auto brightness on? If so, try toggling it off, then set brightness manually. If you're putting the phone in your pocket while it's still on, try putting it to sleep first. I'm not on iOS 11, so I have no idea about this.

As stated by Ledsteplin, it’s probably auto brightness that needs to be turned off.
