migration to 7+

New to IOS and switching to another IOS device to a 7+, is the best way to do this is a icloud back up and then recover from icloud?
Or is backing up via itunes a better option?

As long as you have enough storage in the cloud that's what I would recommend. I did that for my 6s plus and plan on doing it again for my 7 plus.

IMHO always better with restoring from an iTunes encrypted backup. Whatever you do, never forget the password you used when you encrypt the backup. It's not pretty..

Icloud failed every time on a restore did itunes and had no issues
