Brief question related to the logicboard

If I were to apply 5VDC directly to the battery inputs, then try to power on the device, would anything burn up? (in all honesty I already did this, now the phone refuses to show life )': ...)

Just to clarify, I have a micro soldering station, time, and will to fix this, I just need a little insight on where to start
