iPhone 6, No Notifications, Apps not working

I have a family member who has an iPhone 6. Notifications aren't coming through on email and a few other apps.

Their YouTube app isn't working either, every time they view a video it says "Error, please try again"

It also appears their phone is running slow on LTE and wifi.

I have reset network settings, deleted apps and re-installed them, and I have done a hard reset.

Any more suggestions on what I could do other than a factory reset?

Put the device in DFU mode, connect it to iTunes and then restore it. Afterwards, set it up as a new device.

That is what I recommend IF the following failed to solve the problem.

1. Check the notification and sound settings to make sure they're set accordingly.

2. Check to make sure the DO NOT DISTURB option isn't enabled.

3. Check to make sure the mute switch on the side of the device isn't enabled.

4. Check the volume level.

5. Make sure the YouTube app is up to date AND you have a working internet connection.
